Frances Timbers

After a brief hiatus to pursue a career in academia, Frances Timbers has rejoined the Apsley and District Studio Tour. Frances is renowned throughout Canada for the use of very fine silk and linen threads, which she weaves into luscious, hand-painted silk scarves and shawls, and exquisite household linens. Intricate patterns and a delicious colour sense are characteristic of her creations. Frances was certified a Master Weaver by the Guild of Canadian Weavers and has participated in many group and solo exhibitions. She will show her work as a guest at Rosslyn Reed’s studio on Balmer Road.
