“Liang Jingru snuggles into her long hand woven cape on her way
to play Mahjong”.  The Mahjong tile background fits so well.

Hand carved bone face from Bali - fiber and glass bead accents “

Last years featured rock was an Iolite an Biotite Matrix from Quebec.
Iolite is also known as Codierite.
Shown is the raw stone to the far right, a polished slice to the left
with one of my finished pieces in the centre.
The pendant to this piece is shown as a close up at the far left.
Iolite brings harmony within self. Helps relationships to flourish and brings Joy!

This piece is called Aruvi - which is Tamil for Waterfall; an appropriate choice as most Bloodstone is from India these days. The dramatic scene in this spectacular pendant is an unbelievably realistic waterfall including plumes of mauve mist of Chalcedony.
So many stories are hidden within this slice. I call it “Imagination”. Jasper takes a wonderful polish allowing all the intricate details to stand boldly out.
A mix of stone and glass beads complete the set.
“Sometimes you get the best light from a burning bridge.” seems to be a quote that fits.
